Funding
While the vast majority of MSC’s library materials funding has gone to books, the requests we have received from detained migrants have also included journals, writing utensils, stickers, and cards. Additionally, about 40% of requesters place multiple requests.

“We have clients who have been [detained] for a long time and I think being able to go back to their interests and their favorite authors, reading about a specific topic, all that adds more power to them and gives them a sense of hope.”

We are in the process of incorporating to be an independent nonprofit organization.
